Windows 7,8,10 Screencapture - How to Screenshot Screen and Playing Video on PC and Laptop

It is very easy to capture picture as a screenshot in laptop and any PC. PC screencapture can be accomplished by using some of the software designed for capturing picture and also Computer keyboard keys are used to take picture from the screen. A playing video on VLC software can also be captured a screenshot. All tasks can be completed by attempting few simple procedures which will be explained on next part.

Captured Screen

Different Ways can be employed to take picture from the screen and also to take picture from a playing videos. Here the explanation is focusing only on two methods for screencapture and one software for taking a picture of playing videos. For screencapture the software that is being discussed is called snipping tool for windows PC and another method is by using print screen key written as (prt sc) in some computers for video screenshot the software used is VLC media player.

Screenshot PC or Laptop

Sniping Tool - It is popular software on Windows operating systems that is used for capturing picture on PC and laptops. It can capture anything that is displayed on screen like the picture above was taken by using snipping tool software. To use the software on any windows PC the followings procedure can adopted to get snipping tool to capture a particular window on screen.

•  Press start button on left hand side of a computer task bar
•  if the software is not seen just search it by typing snipping tool
• click a software and snipping tool will be launched.
•  It will show three buttons with names New,Cancel and Option
• To capture picture press "New" Button and select the window to be captured.

To capture a screen using keyboard find a key written "prt sc" short term for print screen when the key is pressed open paint software and paste printed screen by pressing CTRL+V then save it to the local storage. This method has no the option to select specific window to capture.

Launch Video LAN(VLC) software and play any video. On the navigation bar there are options to select since the purpose is to screencapture a video, just click video button on navigation menu bar and drop down menu will appear with  different commands for performing various task.

The screenshot option written "Take Screenshot" is the last one among other options  in this category. Hence when Take Screenshot is clicked a current playing part of video will be captured and its picture will be saved automatically to picture folder.
